The Guru Shri Gorakshnath College of nursing is a part of Guru Shri Gorakshnath Institute of Medical Sciences, and it was established in the year 2009.
The nursing student is an intelligent, autonomous, ethical person. He or she is able to assess situations, make decisions, develop strategies and implement change. In order to educate students to practice professional nursing at the entry level and the advanced levels, learning situations must be structured to promote the development of empirical, philosophical, aesthetic and personal ways of knowing. Specially, critical thinking skills, communication skills, reflective skills and psychomotor skills are taught and integrated.
The faculties recognize that students differ in abilities, learning styles, educational and cultural backgrounds and goals. Therefore, using a variety of learning modalities to facilitate the educational needs of the students will be provided in our institution. The faculty's responsibility is to challenge and support students by structuring teaching-learning activities or situations that require inquiry, analyze, synthesis and evaluation.
